Manager, Environmental Due Diligence

Responsibilities:

  • • Design Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (in accordance with CSA Standards as well as Ontario Regulation 153/04), and soil/groundwater remediation programs.
  • • Lead and mentor staff in the execution of Phase One and Two ESA projects.
  • • Complete technical reviews of projects to ensure compliance with client objectives, regulatory requirements and technical standards (QA/QC assessment of data and reports).
  • • Prepare work plans and cost estimates.
  • • Ensure timely and accurate reports.
  • • Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior staff.
  • • Contribute to the growth of the due diligence group.
  • • Perform business development activities, manage projects and clients.

 

Qualifications:

  • • University or College program in a related field.
  • • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of environmental consulting, preferably in Ontario.
  • • Superior communication skills, written and spoken.
  • • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues.
  • • Experience with Brownfields/contaminated sites, remediation, environmental site assessment and transactional due diligence.
  • • Understanding of hydrogeology, contaminant transport and geology.
  • • Thorough understanding of environmental regulations and standards.

Senior Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist

Responsibilities:

  • • Design Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (in accordance with CSA Standards as well as Ontario Regulation 153/04), and soil/groundwater remediation programs
  • • File Records of Site Condition
  • • Complete technical reviews of projects to ensure compliance with client objectives, regulatory requirements and technical standards (QA/QC assessment of data and reports)
  • • Prepare work plans and cost estimates and act as project technical lead
  • • Liaise with clients, regulatory agencies and contractors
  • • Provide technical direction and mentoring to junior staff
  • • Perform business development activities, manage projects and clients

 

Qualifications:

  • • P.Eng. or P.Geo. (or pending)
  • • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of environmental consulting, preferably in Ontario
  • • Superior communication skills, written and spoken
  • • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate effectively and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
  • • Experience with Brownfields/contaminated sites, remediation, environmental site assessment and transactional due diligence
  • • Experience with development projects and excess soil regulations
  • • Understanding of hydrogeology, contaminant transport and geology
